All connoisseurs of fine food have a secret ambition to own a restaurant serving the kind of food people relish and go into raptures over. Mir Mazharuddin turned his ambition into a reality a decade ago. Coming from a background that was one of Hyderabad’s pioneering catering institutions M.B.A catering, he trained under his father and started assisting him at a young age. He spread out on his own, testing the receptive markets of the early nineties. Being a sports enthusiast and passionate about everything he does, he turned his zeal and keen business acumen into a few small canteen ventures. Single handedly mobilizing man power and funds he moved on to contractual catering with institutions and individuals. His enthusiasm and charisma won over many clients and his confidence and ability to exceed expectations soon made him a household name in the city. Orders started pouring gradually from all over the country and his clientele expanded to include popular film stars, politicians, bureaucrats , business men, horse trainers and other prominent personalities from all fields.
Though his first restaurant venture did not meet with great success, it added to his experience. His travels abroad led to deeper insights into other cultures and their legacy of cuisine which flourished even in these modern times. This was the seed that was nurtured by demands of fine food by an ever increasing customer base back home in Hyderabad. And thus was born HYDERABAD HOUSE in 1998 as a small take away food outlet. With his tremendous knowledge and feel of customer’s tastes, like, dislikes and requirements, he soon turned HYDERABAD HOUSE into the city’s most popular destination for traditional Hyderabadi cuisine. The success of the outlets in the city and a clamor from customers in other cities soon made it necessary to cross national and international borders. Mir Mazharuddin, despite not having any formal F& B background or trained to be a chef is still responsible for giving valuable inputs and suggestions and transforming recipes into lip smacking fare.
In keeping with the trends of the times, we opened a takeaway outlet in 1999, aptly, named the Hyderabad House. It was a runaway success. The popularity of Hyderabad House spread to all corners of the city and around the country.
Now we have 10 outlets, located in prime localities in Hyderabad, Secunderabad and 1 outlet in Bangalore. The culinary delights of Hyderabad House are relished at weddings, private parties, celebrity dinners, corporate and business get-togethers and high-profile meetings.
Today, Hyderabad House is the fastest growing eatery in Hyderabad serving Deccani cuisine with a turnover of Rs. 7 crores (over 1 million USD) in 2006
